SAF Frontline Safety Training -

Virtual Class

Safety leaders understand the pivotal role that frontline supervisors play in shaping the safety mindset in the workforce, and often wish that frontline supervisors understood that as well. 

 

SAF Frontline Safety Training is a 2.5 day course designed to enhance a supervisor's understanding of the bigger picture of safety, and his or her role in creating a safer work environment.

This VIRTUAL SAF Frontline Safety Training course is offered in real-time during live classes with expert SAF Frontline Instructors. The course features the same innovative and rigorous curriculum as the in-person SAF Frontline training. 

 

Students will participate in a live online session via Zoom video conferencing. Live sessions begin at 8:00 a.m. Central Time. (9:00 a.m. Eastern Time.)

Participation in the virtual course will require the following:

  • Computer with reliable Internet access (Laptops and desktop computers only.)

  • Preference: Dual monitor setup or use of multiple devices (computer and mobile device)

  • Google Chrome Browser

  • Webcam and Microphone

  • Zoom Video Conferencing

  • Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

Upon completion of the Safe Supervisor course, a supervisor will be able to: 

  • Describe how exposure to hazards can lead to accidents 

  • Perform a worksite analysis

  • Recognize hazards

  • Determine what potential effects an identified hazard can have

  • Determine what the OSHA Code of Federal Regulations say regarding an identified hazard 

  • Determine how to control identified hazards

  • Communicate hazard related information to personnel in the field and in administrative positions

  • Initiate an accident investigation

  • Understand some of the psychology that drives employees' unsafe behavior

Students will receive:

  • A student workbook

  • OSHA Standards for General Industry (CFR Part 1910) and OSHA Standards for the Construction Industry (CRF Part 1926)

  • 20 hours of instruction, delivered by an Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer in Construction and General Industry.

  • A certificate of completion.

Pre-requisites

  • The SAF Frontline Safety Training course has no prerequisites.

Registration & Cancellation Policy:

Advance registration for this virtual SAF Frontline Safety Training class is required. Cancellation and Substitution Policy: Pre-registration and payment are required. If you must cancel a course, please do so at least three weeks prior to the course for a full refund. No refunds will be made after three weeks prior to the course. This policy will be enforced, so please plan ahead if you need to cancel your attendance. The NSC-NEC reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule classes due to insufficient enrollments.
